Autumn news

12 June 2010
Happy St Patricks Day to all! The big day might have been yesterday but the hangovers remain a little longer.
The Villa farewelled Andrew and Kathryn ...after nine months as Housekeeping Supervisor and Head Gardner...Katrin and the Crew put on a great BBQ, then off to Seamus's Irish Nook to continue with St Paddy.

Autumn is coming but the great news is that in Picton, the weather is still nice and warm. We missed most of the first cold snap and our guests are still out sunbathing in the back garden when the sun is out.
Walking and Kayaking are still really popular and Tuesday night sailing with the Waikawa Boating Club on big yachts has been a real blast this summer, still a few more races to go before the Winter series start. Katrin is now our resident sailing expert who takes our guests sailing and introduces them to the people who need Crew.

The Picton Waterfront development is slowly nearing completion, the new buildings for all the water transport operators look great and provide much more comfort than before. The Cougar Line has a great waiting area with fab views and next door, Marlborough Sounds Adventure Co has free internet before or after a bike or kayak trip.
